Knee Problems

knee problem
  • Fallen arches can cause pronated knees.
  • The meniscus of the knee joint can become pinched.
  • Misalignment places stress on the ligaments which are bands of fibrous tissue that hold the joint together. Over period of time the stress can cause chronic pain and weakness.
  • Commonly known as “runner’s knee” IT band (the iliotibial band is a tendonous and fascial band that originates on the iliac crest-hipbone.) friction syndrome, symptoms include pain on the outside of the knee, tenderness and sometimes swelling.

Lower level of physical activity and a work environment where one is required to sit in a chair during the work day is one reason for developing knee joint pain, as the lower degree of physical movement tends to weaken the knee muscles. Blood vessels also can be affected, leading to development of painful conditions.
